Happy FAB Friday, friends! I hope everyone is keeping warm with the cold front that has hit DC again. While its cold today, did you all see its going to be upwards of 60 degrees this weekend? What is going on! Anyways, this weekend you can find me two places- behind my laptop, finally finalizing my site redesign (if you ever hear me say I'm going to do another redesign all myself to save money, slap me. This has been way harder and took longer than I expected!), or at Current Boutique's Galentine's Party tomorrow, from 6-8pm!
The Galentine's party will feature local bloggers (me included!), champs, styling, fun, 20% off, and chocolate! If you haven't been to Current Boutique yet, then this is definitely the time to come by! I hadn't been to Current Boutique until last year when I attended a holiday party at their 14th St location. I was floored. Seriously. Their collection of consignment clothing and accessories is huge. And the prices are even better! They also carry non-consignment pieces in their "Current Collection" that you can purchase new, and consign later. I love the model of the store and how they curate their consignment picks. I walked away from the last event with a dress from the current collection (pictured above) and a shearling vest sweater that I have lived in this winter.
If you are sort of weird about consignment- I get it. I used to be too. But, after one trip to Current, it totally changed my mind. All of the clothing is in great condition and they carry all brands. Think Forever 21 to Gucci. And I mentioned it above, but I'll mention it again- the prices are amazing and unbeatable- even the Current Collection is priced very well!
How I styled my Current Collection dress:
I love love love the simplicity of this dress- easy to throw on, but has great details like the lace up neckline and the bell sleeves. Its also easy to style. For this look, I chose a more casual take with patterned tights and flat embellished boots. This dress can also look great with OTK boots or wedge booties to take the look into the evening.
