If These Walls Could Talk...

....they'd say "HI, I'm here to brighten your day!" At least, that's what I'd envision it saying since that is how I feel when looking at this Jason Woodside mural- bright and happy. As you all are well aware, I am a faux- street art pro. Meaning, I love love love street art and I am always trying to scope the scene for cool murals. I'm also not a serious pro at it, but want to be, hence the "faux pro." This mural is located in Rosslyn, VA at the intersection of 19TH St N and N Moore St, and has been there now for some time. I've admired this mural in passing and finally decided to get a better look at it up close for this street style post. The thing I love about this mural is the vibrancy, which can be seen in all of Jason Woodside's murals across the United States. This mural in particular was curated by DC's own Art Whino for JBG Companies and is titled "Creative Vortex" with good reason:

The mural “kind of speaks just to what’s going in this zone,” .... “There’s a bus stop, there’s people coming and going, it’s really transient. It’s more of just something for people to look at and lose themselves in. I call it kind of a vortex, a creative vortex. It pulls people in, it makes their day. It’s all positive.” - Quote from ARLNow.com
