It's officially spring which means lots and lots of events in the DMV! As I was looking at my planner I realized that May is one crazy month and I honestly don't know how I'm going to keep myself straight this month in terms of plans! Between all the cool upcoming events I've seen and at the request of a reader, I decided to put together this guide for May featuring fun events to consider adding to your calendars!

May 4-7: Dior and I Documentary showing at E Street Cinema. Various show times throughout the day, tickets are $9.

May 5: Cinco de Mayo Parties!

- El Centro 14th St and Georgetown: 12pm-11pm, $20 buffet and various food and $5 drink specials.

- Mission Dupont: Happy Hour specials all night and $25 margarita pitchers. Because who doesn't love margarita pitchers?

May 6: Retail's Night Out, 5-9pm at DC City Center. Because SHOPPING.

May 7: DNV Rooftop Live Music (every Thursday in May!), 8-10pm, Free! Hint: go before hand for their Happy Hour from 4-7pm!

May 8: Ben Folds at 9:30 Club

One of the best concerts I've ever been to? Ben Folds. Don't miss this! Tickets online at 9:30 Club are sold out, but check Vivid Seats or Stubhub!

May 9: EdibleDC Cocktail Derby, 2-4:30pm, $50.

May 9: Taste of the Runway, 12-9pm, $20.

May 9: Yoga on the Mall, 12-3pm, Free.

May 9: Vinofest, 5-10pm, $60.

May 12: Cabaret starts its run at the Signature Theater in Arlington through June 28.

May 14: STYLEmakers with a Cause Shopping event with PopNod and South Moon Under, 6-9pm at the VA Mosaic District, Free.

May 16: Want an excuse to dress up? Attend the Fashion for Fighters Gala, 6-10pm, $75.

May 17: Taste of Arlington, 12-7pm, event entry free, tasting tickets start at $35.

May 22: Jazz in the Garden kicks off the summer series! Every Friday through August from 5:30-8:30pm, Free.

May 24: Memorial Day Concert, 8pm at the West Lawn of the Capitol, Free.

May 25: Memorial Day Parade, 2pm down Constitution Ave, Free.
