FAB Friday: The National Portrait Gallery

Happy Friday, Fashion Friends!

For todays FAB Friday, I want to talk about my favorite museum in DC, The National Portrait Gallery. The National Portrait Gallery is my favorite DC museum not only for the amazing artwork, but for the peace I feel there amidst the architecture and design of the building. The museum artwork- especially the 3rd floor Contemporary Art exhibit- is inspiring and truly makes you think. The thing I love about art is that it tells a different story to each person, and each person may see one thing in a piece of art that another doesn't see. For me, The National Portrait Gallery is a source of inspiration, serenity, creative thinking, learning, and remembrance for all of those who have influenced history, arts, entertainment, politics, and more (AND they have the hottest picture ever of John Travolta from the 1970's on display- a personal favorite). If you haven't been to the museum, I urge you to go. If you have been, I urge you to go again and look at what you may have missed during your last visit. If you are looking for a new place in DC to "just be" and relax, check out the Kogod Courtyard or the couches in the 3rd floor Contemporary Art exhibit- you won't be disappointed.
